The best way to find out who is right for you is to get an award winning consultation by scheduling a “consultation appointment”. Stylists like as much information as possible. BRING PICTURES. Use stylist recommended products. Professional Products are only guaranteed by the manufacture’s when bought in a salon. Supermarkets and drug stores receive diverted and/or fake products, beware. Besides, most professional salons train and educate their staff to one or two product lines. The benefit to having one or two lines ensures that the staff knows everything about those lines and not a little bit about many lines. And, it’s less confusing and overwhelming for you. 4.) Take care of your hair. Getting a haircut every 6-8 weeks keeps split ends away. #1 reason for fly-aways. Condition your hair. Your stylist should recommend what conditioning treatments are available for you. Your hair is a precious fabric and should be treat as such. Every other appointment should include an in-salon conditioning treatment like Redken Chemistry. This helps keep your hair shiny and the cuticle sealed. 5.) Watch your heat settings. Heat can damage and dry your hair. Blow-dry your hair using your hands until its 80%-90% dry, then use your brush to finish. Take smaller sections while curling or flat ironing. Heat should not go above 400 degrees. High for coarse hair, Medium for medium hair, and Low for fine hair.
